REMEMBERING VERNON R. BALDWIN (1941-2011)

According to Matthew 25:21 – “ His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of your Lord. No doubt Vernon heard those words on July 25th, 2011. At the age of 70, following a battle with Parkinson’s Disease, his earthly journey ended. In June 1984, under the corporate name, Vernon R. Baldwin, Inc. Vernon purchased 5000watt radio Station WCNW, 1560 with studios and towers located at 8686 Michael Lane, Fairfield, Ohio.

With a heart for Christian radio ministry, Vernon spent his life and energy using radio for God’s
Purpose. With that leadership he has helped to influence and lead individuals to Christ.

While we acknowledged Vernon as a foremost leader in Christian radio, Vernon maintained
A characteristic modesty concerning his role, preferring to emphasize countless friends who
Stepped alongside him and his wife Marcella. In addition to Marcella, he is survived by his daughters,
Melissa Jackson and Susan Theiss and 5 grandchildren.
WCNW is still owned by Vernon R. Baldwin, Inc. and operated by Marcella Baldwin.
